“A Special Way of Caring”

When a person is seriously ill, there may come a time when continued medical treatment aimed solely at a cure is no longer beneficial.
It then becomes important to focus attention on the physical, spiritual, social, emotional, and financial needs of that person and their
family – this is the philosophy of the hospice concept.

The purpose of hospice is to provide support and care for an individual in the last phases of their disease,
so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.  Comfort means to be free from pain without loss of
mental faculties – a holistic approach which affirms life and family and dignity in death.  It keeps families
together at difficult times and offers the support necessary to deal with life’s issues.

Our trained medical professionals and volunteers understand that loving, caring for, and letting go of someone
are often the hardest challenges in life we face.  That’s why our team is structured
to meet each client’s needs regardless of diagnosis, race, age, sex, or religious preference.
